In the mind of a 4 yr old

Today at breakfast my 4 yr old daughter announced this... " I don't want to go to Hell of college either!" LOL....I LOVE that she is already having eternal thoughts....but college choices are bit far off, don't ya think?? hehe!!

  1. Kids are cute that way. Kim, I was hoping you would have something to say about my post. Of all people you know the struggles and victories of children who are struggling in life. I love the point you made in that each day is move forward, facing fears, challenges, rejoicing in victories, and bottom line just doing our best with the grace of God. My heart truly goes out to those families who struggle as I have seen you do. I think the point I was trying to make is to just show that we need to try, to make the effort to bring up respectable little people. But so often the effort just isn't even there. And when the parent screams obscenities back to the child to try and 'fix' the situation then we all know that that's not going to change anything.

(I know about those victories about being able to stay in church!! I was able to stay in church most of the time until my 2 little boys were born. Number 6 and 7. That sure changed things in a hurry!!)

  2. Thanks for the comment..and I see what you are saying...there are parents who just "don't get it"...trying to make "deals" with kids to get them to be good or like you said, just screaming at them...I agree with you whole heartidly...thanks for your kind words, and making yourself clear :0) God Bless you, friend!

  3. Thanks Kim. I did try to go back and make some edits. I've never been very good at putting my thoughts into words. They always come back all messed up. But I don't ever realize that until I'm called out on it. I do have to say how amazed I am with you. YOU are doing something totally amazing. Something I really believe most of us could not, or would not do. My hat is sure off to you girl.

  4. Kim,

Sounds like your daughter gave you a surprising comment at breakfast this morning with that lovely quote. :)
